How To Write Good SEO Articles – Part I

I have a short lesson for all of us today, and that’s how to write good SEO articles that will attract your target audience while keeping Google Spiders happy. Now, creating good SEO articles that bring search engine bots and human visitors to your website needn’t be challenging.

Assuming the most you know about SEO is that the acronym stands for Search Engine Optimization, I will keep things simple, and go straight to the juicy details. Ready? Awesome. Please share your thoughts, tips and tricks in the comment section at the end!

Quality Writing is the Foundation of Good SEO Articles

Since the Panda, Penguin and Hummingbird algorithm Updates that completely changed how Google indexes content, there is so little you can do to outsmart the now well-endowed Google bots. That’s not all, the super-efficient Google algorithm is growing even smarter by the day. The implication? You must be very careful with the quality of your content.

Unlike a few years ago, when all you needed was half-baked content and keyword stuffing to rank well in SERPs (search engine result pages), you will now need quality SEO articles and clever keyword placement to pass through the tighter filters at Google.

Quality content means good SEO articles that are easy to read; articles that are 100% free from plagiarism; and content that is interesting and relevant to your target audience.

Importance of H tags in Good SEO Articles

It is of importance to include at least three H tags in your SEO articles, namely H1, H2, and H3. These tags represent headings (heading one, two and three in that order). The secret here is to include your keyword or key phrase in your H tags.

In doing so, you will immediately draw Google bots and your human visitors to what is to be expected in your SEO article. For instance, the H2 tags in this How-To article are SEO optimized using the key phrase “Good SEO Articles“. What are your SEO keywords or key phrases? Maintain 2.5% Keyword Density for Good SEO Articles

To achieve tangible success with your online marketing campaign, you need to hit between one and four percent keyword density with your SEO content. Generally, SEO articles have a word count ranging between 300 words and 500 words. You can go beyond this figure as there are no set limits to the number of words you can write on any given topic, just don’t fill your post with fluff/junk.

For a 300 to 500-word post, you will need to include your keyword or key-phrase eight to twelve times to fulfill a 2.5-percent keyword density. Google bots use these keywords to rank your content so it is important to get it right. At the same time, your keywords or key-phrases shouldn’t be forced in; try as much as possible to make them read naturally with the rest of the content.

In summary, to create good SEO articles, you will need:

  1. Quality SEO writing
  2. SEO key phrases or keywords in your H1, H2 and H3
  3. 2.5% keyword density

And you are ready to play ball!
